KOSCIUSKO —
Attala County Extension Service Director Taylor Casey spoke to the Attala County Supervisors about rearranging the office to make room for new area forestry agent Houston Therrell of Rankin County. He will start on September 1.
The supervisors agreed with changes Casey suggested. The agent will be at no cost to the county. His salary will be provided by Mississippi State University.
The board approved the following:
– Utility agreement with AT&T to bury cable on Attala County Road 5020
– School bus easements for Melodie Burrell, James Dotson, James Moak, Robert Pettit Jr., Jo Betty Snow, Carolyn Trehern, Ardys Winters and J.C. Young.
–16th Section hunting and fishing leases for Doug Crosby, Rita Talkington, R.O. Sistrunk III, and Scotty Tanner.
–Service agreement for the Beaver Central Assistance Program for 2013.
– Inventory adjustments on several piece of equipment. They are weed eater, rome sloper, generator and asphalt spreader.
–Void tax sale of property owned by Roy Brown.
– Brinkman Bond payment.

Forty-three members of Kosciusko civic clubs met in the City Hall Tuesday night. They formed an organization called the Natchez Trace Tourist Attraction Association of the Chamber of Commerce. Jones Woodward was elected president of the new group.
