KOSCIUSKO —
Those serving on an Attala County jury will receive the maximum pay. The Attala County Board of Supervisors approved to increase daily juror pay from $25 a day to $40 during the Monday board meeting.
Mileage will be based upon Federal rate.
Also, Attala County Circuit Clerk Wanda Fancher was given permission to write jurors’ checks in order to speed up the payment process.
These measures will take effect in September. Attala County Circuit Court started Monday for the March term.
The board approved the following:
– Claims docket
–JH&H Architects for the floor plan on the Holmes Community College remodel of the Milwaukee Electric Tool Building in the amount of $7,567.50.
–Chancery Clerk’s copy machine lease at $300 a month from Rose Business Equipment.
–Payment to MPEWCT for the 2012 final audit on worker’s compensation in the amount of $5,006.
–To dispose of court reporter’s records.
–Void tax sale for Virginia Kern and Annie and Odell Luckett.
–School bus turnarounds for Edward Bowles, Sherry Dean, Mevlyn Hunt, Sarah Johnson and Shelia and Lucious Patterson. Travel for justice court clerk to required training May 9-10.
