I know the instant my taste in music changed. It was the summer of 1971. I had just turned 20 and had begun serving two years in the US Army.

I bought a new garden bench for the shady area in our front yard. I bought it because it was a great deal on something I had wanted for a long time, but I got a time machine in the bargain.

Innocence lost

As I write this story, after one of those best kinds of after-church-naps, I realized the day was September 11, the infamous date 15 years ago when America lost her innocence. 




Respect

As I began first grade here in Kosciusko at the little first and second grade elementary building sitting atop the hill where a school administration building now sits, the first things we were taught were plain and simple in nature.
