Lee/Jackson banquet Saturday night

The United Daughters of the Confederacy will host the second annual Lee/Jackson banquet on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Ethel Baptist Church.

This event is co-hosted by Attala County 2592 of Kosciusko and H. D. Money 350 of Carrollton, Mississippi.

Each year the Daughters and Sons come together to honor General Robert E. Lee and General “Stonewall” Jackson as well as all our Confederate ancestors.

This year’s speaker will be David Proctor and he will be speaking on “The Great Sweet Potato Raid of 1864.”

A meal will be served and the cost will be $12 per person.

Also tea lights will be available for purchase to honor your ancestor(s) for $1 each. An R.S.V.P. is requested and you may make reservations by calling 662-739-5085.

Ethel Baptist Church is located at 3329 Pope Street, Ethel, Mississippi.
