The Ethel High School and Kosciusko High School slow-pitch softball teams met in a 4-inning warm-up on Saturday in Winona, with the Tigers winning 3-2.

The Kosciusko Dixie Youth baseball all-star team for five- and six-year-olds won a three-team district tournament at the Parks and Recreation field this past weekend to advance to the state tournament.

New Ethel head football coach Dave McCrory was looking for someone to step up and be the leader of the team.

It did not take him long to find Akeem Erving, who is the third player selected to the Star-Herald Top 10 Players to Watch.

To say that McAdams’ Percy Lewis is the big man on campus would be somewhat of an understatement.

Lewis, who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 325 pounds, is the latest member of The Star-Herald Top 10 football players to watch.

Todd Chesser is returning to French Camp Academy as fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball coach. Previously he spent seven years at the school as an assistant football and baseball coach.
