The Kosciusko High School girls’ track team advanced nine events to North State to be held at Pontotoc starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The boys’ team advanced six events.

Lady Dawgs place third in 1A Powerlifting meet
The McAdams High School girls’ powerlifting team finished third at the Class I MHSAA State Powerlifting Championship by scoring 22 points. Calhoun City won the meet with 75 points followed by Bruce with 50.

Lady Whippets win relays
On Friday, April 12, the Kosciusko girls high school track team won the Whippet Relays with 158 points followed by Canton 133, Louisville 101, Leake Central 65, French Camp 32, Neshoba Central 17 and Houston 8.

Four Ethel Tigers were named the strongest Saturday after the Mississippi High School Activities Association 1A Powerlifting State Championship at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.
